“Hareem Al Sultan” The Exhibition Opens Doors to Visitors at CITY WALK

CITY WALK, the urban living destination by Meraas opened doors to a one-of-its-kind “Hareem Al Sultan” The Exhibition on 26 March, evoking the resplendent magic of the all-time popular Turkish television series Hareem Al Sultan for Dubai-based fans.
The exhibition with its evocative designs of the Topkapi Palace, and other entertaining and interactive features recreates the television series and gives visitors a historical glimpse of the period.
Written by Meral Okay and Yilmaz Sahin, the series narrates the historical tale of the longest reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire - Kanuni Sultan Suleiman, also known as ‘Süleyman the Magnificent’. Portraying his conquests on the battlefield, the storyboard captures his love for Huyam Sultan, a slave girl who became his wife and Sultana.
Hareem Al Sultan” The Exhibition, takes visitors on a tour through the palace and provides them the opportunity to explore the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating the props and costumes for the series. Handmade life-like silicone sculptures of the show’s popular characters enrich the overall experience.
Spread across 1,300 square metres, The Exhibition has 14 unique rooms offering a wholesome sensory experience.
With more than 100 different costumes, 3.600 m cloth used in the decoration and costumes, more than 500 special accessories and jewelry and 12 handmade hyper-realistic silicon sculptures of the most loved characters of the series.
The gift shop at The Exhibition retails over 200 specially designed items from apparel, jewelry and decorative accessories to exclusive scents, caftans and stationary items, inspired by the series.
“Hareem Al Sultan” The Exhibition is open seven days a week at CITY WALK from 12pm to 10pm till December 2016. Tickets to the exhibition are priced at AED 50 for those aged between 7 to 14 years and AED 100 for those 15 years and above and can be purchased at the venue, or online at www.ticketmaster.ae. Admission to the exhibition is complimentary for children under the age of six.
