Setting trends and breaking records is hardly a new thing for Dubai, but the announcement late on Tuesday night shows this incredible city simply knows no boundaries when it comes to brilliance.
Dubai citizens, please welcome the world's first 3D printed office. Unveiled in DIFC, and revealed on Twitter by his His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, it is not an understatement to say it's one of the most significant 'firsts' in the region. Set in the gardens of Emirates Towers, it will act as the temporary office for the Dubai Future Foundation, an organization that will help deliver smart technologies to the emirate. Driverless cars, for example, are the work of the Foundation, and so too the World Future Games, set to take place in 2017.

Speaking at its unveiling, HH Sheikh Mohammed said: "We announce today the opening of the first 3D-printed office in the world, after less than a month of launching Dubai 3D printing strategy, which showcases a modern model of construction. This is an experience we present to the world on implementing future technology in our lives, and it represents a new milestone for the UAE as a global leader in strategic achievements." His Highness added: "We see this project as a case study that will benefit regulators as well as research and development centres at the regional and international levels on real application of 3D printing technology. We are documenting this experience and building on it to take advantage of the most important lessons, which will serve as a reference point to take this technology to new levels."
